In yet another wonderful example of how careful olive production can result in a zero or negative carbon footprint, check out this new work in which three scientists from Istanbul discovered a way in which waste pits from olive production can see a new life as a source of plastic to use in electronics and food packaging.....

Hello!
ReplyDeleteWould it by any means be possible asking a question from you regarding the Prussian blue method for determining the phenolic content of olive oil? I am a high school student and I am doing a chemistry project where I am determining the phenolic content of olive oil using the Prussian blue assay. I thought you would know about this topic because I read about this in your article "Making Sense of Olive Oil: Simple Experiments To Connect Sensory Observations with the Underlying Chemistry". I would like to know about the method you propose in the article in more detail, if possible.
Best regards, Max Tsivourakis
Dear Max,
